In 1998, we started land restoration on our 110-acre farm near Kincardine, Ontario. The land was scarred with the remains of old gravel pits and overgrazing. When we first started, we bought some trees and native plants. However, the size of our property and economics soon had us growing our own.

We try to grow our plants in a manner as friendly to the planet as we currently know how. For example, we do not use peat. Instead, we experiment with our own growing mixes, made from materials on hand. We also collect seeds from our bio-region whenever possible. Passive solar methods are also used for heating the greenhouse.

We like to supply for and complete restoration projects, but we also provide for garden planting and naturalistic landscaping. In a regular season, we have a variety of plants totalling over 5000. With enough notice, we can also custom grow orders in large quantities.

We also run a Bed & Breakfast (http://www.bbcanada.com/7131.html) here on our farm.
